The Municipal Corporation for the Development of Andorra (SOMUDAN) is a public-owned company established for driving the economic development and promoting the municipality. It is organized as a business company in order to gain both flexibility and dynamism as regards as management, but is governance and control is handled by the local corporation itself, given the public nature of its share capital and the corporate purpose.
